Robbie Cook

Robbie Cook has studied Pilates and Yoga since 1995. He is also a longtime practitioner of Gyrotonic, Gyrokinesis, Alexander Technique, Feldenkrais, Functional and Experiential Anatomy, Body Mind Centering, Continuum and Tai Ji Quan. His personal movement practices and extensive study of anatomy and kinesiology with Irene Dowd informs his teaching of Pilates and Yoga and Dance.

Robbie was certified and started teaching Pilates in Chicago in 1998 and has since taught in San Francisco, New York City, Dallas, Los Angeles, Bennington College in Vermont, Bates Dance Festival in Maine and at Loyola Marymount University.

He has taught Pilates as a guest teacher in Minneapolis; Montevideo, Uruguay; Sapporo, Japan; and Cork, Ireland. Robbie started teaching Yoga in 2003 at Bennington College and was certified in NYC in 2009 and has since taught in New York City, Dallas, University of Wisconsin/Madison Summer Dance Intensive, American Dance Festival, Bates Dance Festival, FRESH Festival in SF and at Loyola Marymount University.
