Cadence is the owner of Brooklyn Strength: Brooklyn Heights and Cobble Hill, a Sarah Lawrence College graduate and a graduate of the Northeastern School of Botanical Medicine with a focus on Clinical Practice. She is currently certifying in Sports and Exercise Nutrition with Precision Nutrition. She is a certified Pilates teacher and Kettlebell Instructor. She is a practitioner of Compassionate Communication, sometimes referred to as NonViolent Communication and has been teaching Pilates and Fitness for over twelve years with a special focus on rehabilitation and chronic pain. She is a student of Paul Pitchford's Healing with Whole Foods, Holistic Nutrition, a fifteen year Yoga student, and experienced in a vast array of Somatic Practices such as Alexander Technique, Meditation, Feldenkrais, Gyrotonics etc. As a professional dancer and choreographer she has extensive experience with the body, it’s profound capabilities, and the healing power of movement. Cadence has personally been able to heal her own chronic digestive problems that plagued her as a teenager, and has made great strides in her lifelong relationship with anxiety related insomnia. Cadence is an empathetic listener, who practices what she preaches and understands how a busy life, multiple responsibilities and stress can make planning your snacks and going to bed on time sound like preparing to man the first mission to Mars.
